Im a 12 year old male and would like to lose weight over the summer (I will be 13 then). I might be doing marching band, which would involve a lot of time marching so I would like to get fit for that too. I don’t have access to a gym, and don’t play any sports. I was thinking of possibly going vegetarian/vegan and maybe going up and down my steps multiple times a day. Oh, i would like to lose around 40 pounds, which would get me to an ideal weight since im 170ish now at only 5′8″.

So the questions are:
-How could I lose weight fast, safely, and efficiently?
-How could I prepare for marching band (the physical part)?
-Is going vegetarian/vegan safe, also what are good meals that a teen could make using mostly common food items?
