			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Which of the three weight loss programs (Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem) is healthiest for a male diabetic? Or is there another program recommended?<br />
<br />NutriSystem D brings only good news for diabetics who are suffering from weight loss issues. Being diabetics, most of them are having difficulty in being successful in their program. Losing weight can bring many benefits especially to diabetics who have consistent mental anguish from balancing their caloric intake of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, with their blood sugar level.</p>
<p>Especially designed as a diet program for diabetics, the NutriSystem D is founded on the principle of meeting the unique dietary needs of diabetics. The NutriSystem D plan is helpful particularly to people with type 2 diabetes. It sheds off excess weight up to 16 times more, while the blood sugar level is lowered 5 times more compared to standard diets created by medical doctors.</p>
<p>There were reports of remarkable improvements in weight and blood sugar levels among diabetics who followed the NutriSystem D plan during an extensive 6-month experiment. Sixty-eight (68) diabetics participated in the study conducted by the scientists at the Center for Obesity Research and Education at Temple University School of Medicine. In this study, half of the diabetics were placed under the typical hospital-based plan while the other half were supplemented with the NutriSystem D program.</p>
<p>On average, the diabetics who followed this program lost 18 pounds during the initial 3-month assessment period. The researchers added that their A1C test was lowered by 0.9. In comparison, the first half who relied on the hospital-based weight loss program lost one pound on average during the same period; their A1C test was increased by 0.03.</p>
<p>Furthermore, in the 3 months that followed, all 68 diabetics adhered to the NutriSystem D plan. All of them showed weight loss and reduced blood sugar levels.</p>

<br />First of all, without knowing your height, it is hard to visualize just how far overweight you are.  Use the BMI (body mass index) chart in the  source box to determine your BMI.  A healthy BMI range is 18.5 to 24.9.  Obesity is defined as a BMI over 30.0.  Anything in between is considered overweight.  </p>
<p>If those twelve acres of trails are safe, I would focus on hiking them a lot.  You could take your school books with you and do homework after you&#8217;ve walked a couple of miles.  Try to maintain a good clip of about three miles an hour for an hour or day or so.  If this is too hard now, start at half an hour a day.  The important thing is to begin from where you are.</p>
<p>If walking is too painful on your ankles and knees, consider getting  into a regular  swimming program if you have one at your gym.   I would also suggest some of the cardio machines  at the gym, including stair climbers, elliptical machines and treadmills.  </p>
<p>The main thing is getting your body in motion on a consistent basis.  A little bit of weight lifting would help too, in that muscles burn calories off at a much faster rate than fat does.</p>
<p>That ought to get you started.  Try to have fun at something that will burn off a lot of calories.  Once you&#8217;ve rekindled the fun in exercising,  there&#8217;ll be no stopping you.  Don&#8217;t forget&#8211;you&#8217;re only fifteen, but you don&#8217;t want to begin adulthood with extra weight if you don&#8217;t have to.  You are setting fitness patterns now that will stick with you for a lifetime, so make sure they&#8217;re beneficial ones.  Three-quarters of all American adults are overweight  or obese now.  Please don&#8217;t join this throng in a few years.</p>
